Monthly Guild Meetings-Shadow Mountain Mobile Park Recreation Room
1st Wednesday of every month Meetings begin at 10:00 promptly.
Philosophy Statement: One of our goals is to provide you with multiple activities to enhance your “quilting experience.” The Guild is a place to learn and to share our love and knowledge of the craft; there will always be someone to assist you in that process. As a member, feel free to pick and choose your fancy. You need not do all of the activities, but we hope that you will find something of interest.
The Shasta Lily Quilt Guild is an active, growing non-profit organization dedicated to the preservation and promotion of quilting through education and community service. We support, teach, and encourage each other in the art of quilting. Information, patterns and techniques are shared with each other to improve our knowledge and workmanship. We sponsor workshops and member programs. Our Scholarship Awards (through local schools) amount to $750 for the current year. We support various community non-profits. Our activities are funded through a biennial Quilt Show, “Quilting Around the Mountain,” as well as by member dues and other fundraisers.
Project Linus: Shasta Lily Quilt Guild is an active participant in the Klamath Chapter of Project Linus. We schedule monthly Sew Days and participate in two area-wide Sew Days in Klamath Falls. Additionally, Project Linus Representatives have a booth at “Quilting Around the Mountain,” and there is a special Project Linus category for donated quilts. Our own group of ladies work endlessly to see this be a success in our community. For more info, contact Judy Sartor, Donna Linebarger, Sally Eagleman, or Peggy Smith
Quilt Guilds of the North Quarter: which meets every three months on a rotating basis. Shasta Lily Quilt Guild is an active member & host this event every 2 years or so.
Scrappies: Diana Fogle leads this group, where we create boutique items for our quilt show, “Quilting Around the Mountain.” This group meets the 3rd Wednesday of the month from 10:00 to 2:00 in the Rec Room.
Patriotic Quilts: Marilyn Berger & Judy Sartor and other Quilt Guild members make quilts for various organizations who give the quilts to Vetarans.
Caring Friends: Jane St. Pierre & Valerie Voght lead the group to make quilts for community members who need a hug from a quilt.
UFO Program: Judy Cornett finds a way to motivate us to finish the projects we've started!
Website: All the important Guild information, upcoming events, photos, classes, and even our most popular recipes can be found on this website! Members can also expect reminder emails of upcoming events. Both are offered to keep you "in the know"!
Monthly Newsletter: These are sent out monthly after the Guild meeting with minutes from the meeting and any necessary updates.
...just a small sampling of what the Lilies do to stay out of trouble!
Welcome to Shasta Lily Quilt Guild!
