The incoming Officers and Board wish you a Happy and Healthy 2019. We have many fun activities planned for the New Year. Grab hold of your quilting supplies and join us as we learn new skills, sharpen our present skills, enjoy time spent with like-minded friends, and have fun.
The members who attended the December planning meeting built our 2019 calendar*. That calendar includes Sew Days for Linus, Caring Friends, and Patriotic Quilts--a major part of our community outreach. We have a committee in place to research and schedule workshops. Since the guild members have a wealth of talent, skills, and quilting knowledge, we have also included Teachers of the Guild workshops. The calendar also includes the activities that we have come to love: Scrappies, Art Group with Diana, Anything Goes, and, of course, pot-luck luncheons.
It is an honor and privilege to serve the guild as President. The 2019 – 2020 officers are capable and efficient, and I look forward to working with them all. I pledge to work hard for the Shasta Lily Quilt Guild. My goal is to provide a framework so that the entire membership has the opportunity to relax and enjoy guild activities.
The time I’ve spent as a Shasta Lily has been very rewarding. This is a caring, giving, and friendly group. Thank you for including me and for entrusting me with this awesome responsibility.
