The Shasta Lily Quilt Guild is a vibrant and expanding 501(c)4 organization committed to preserving and promoting the art of quilting through education and community service. Within our guild, we foster a culture of mutual support and encouragement in the quilting craft, where we freely exchange information, patterns, and techniques to enhance our skills and craftsmanship. We take pride in offering workshops and member programs and extending our support to various community non-profit organizations. The financial foundation for our activities is sustained through the biennial Quilt Show, "Quilting Around the Mountain," as well as through member dues and other fundraising initiatives.
Philosophy Statement: One of our goals is to provide you with multiple activities to enhance your “quilting experience.” The Guild is a place to learn and to share our love and knowledge of the craft; there will always be someone to assist you in that process. As a member, feel free to pick and choose your fancy. You need not join all the activities, but we hope you will find something interesting.
Board & Chairs: Our board is seated at the start of each new year.
Our Bylaws: Our Bylaws were created in 2013.
Shasta Lily Quilt Guild funds an annual $1,000.00 Visual/Performing Arts Scholarship available through the College of the Siskiyous.
Scrappies: Diana F. leads the group in creating boutique items for our biennial quilt show, “Quilting Around the Mountain.” This group meets on the 3rd Wednesday of the month from 10:00 to 2:00. (weather permitting)
Patriotic Quilts: Vicki M., Malou S., & Judy S., and other guild members make quilts for various organizations that give the quilts to Veterans.
Comfort Quilts: Jane S. leads the group in making quilts for community members who need some comfort from a quilt.
Quilt Guilds of the North Quarter: Meets every three months on a rotating basis. Shasta Lily Quilt Guild is an active member & hosts this event every two years or so.
Monthly E-mail Notices: These are sent out monthly after the Guild meeting with minutes from the meeting and any necessary updates.
